Life Certificate: Crores of people in the country get pension from the central or state government. At present there are about 69.76 lakh pensioners of the Central Government. Whereas so many pensioners are from the state government and other institutions. To ensure that your pension continues to come, pensioners have to submit their life certificates to banks every year. If you do not do this, your pension may be stopped. The government is continuously making efforts so that pensioners do not have to come to banks every year to submit their life certificates. For this, the government has provided facilities to pensioners like door-step banking, post payment bank, face authentication, video call, through which they can deposit their life certificate in the bank.

Government banks also keep giving information about submission of life certificate to the people through social media so that the pensioners do not face any problem. The country’s government bank UCO Bank has shared information for those pensioners who have their pension account with this bank. The bank has said that pensioners can now submit life certificate through video.

UCO Bank has introduced an app for this named UCO mPassbook App. Pensioners can download this app from Google Play Store. After downloading the app, pensioners can login by entering their UCO Bank account number and mobile number. The bank says that people above 60 years of age can submit their life certificate through this app. So that they do not need to go to the bank.

Easy process for SBI pensioners also

According to SBI, pensioners can visit the nearest CSC centre, bank branch or any government office, details of which are provided under Locate Center on jeevanpramaan.gov.in. The most important thing is that this entire process is Aadhaar based, hence the digital life certificate presented by the pensioners can be certified only if the pensioners’ accounts are linked to their Aadhaar number.

SBI pensioners can submit their life certificate through video call. First of all pensioners have to go to SBI’s pension service website Then pensioners will have to click on Video LC to start the process. In the third step you have to enter your SBI account number. After this, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, which you will have to enter.

After this you will be given information about terms and conditions.

After this you have to click on Start journey. With the original PAN card, you have to click on ‘I am ready’. After this you will have to give permissions like camera, microphone to your mobile. After this you will interact with the SBI bank official. You will have to enter the 4 digit verification code from your mobile screen. After this you will have to show your PAN card to the officer. The officer will capture your photo and the process will be completed.
